Ariel Compressors

Hi-Tech Fuels features Ariel compressors as their premiere line of compressors. Ariel Corporation of Mt. Vernon, Ohio has demonstrated an ongoing philosophy to produce the highest quality, most reliable, and smoothest running gas compressors available today. With nearly 20,000 compressor units operating in major gas fields throughout the world, Ariel compressors have demonstrated their ability to consistently perform in all types of environments. Ariel still provides the very best compressor warranty available from any gas compressor manufacturer today.

Between Hi-Tech Fuelsand Ariel, your spare parts needs are also fully covered. Hi-Tech Fuelsstocks key Ariel components for immediate turnaround, and Ariel will deliver from their extensive inventory of spare parts within 24 hours of receipt of order.

CNG Dispensing Systems

Dispensers are the primary interface between a CNG station and the fueling customer. As such, considerations such as ease of use and convenience are important to end users.

Hi-Tech Fuelsoffers state-of-the art technology with cutting-edge design to give your dispensers superior operation, durability, and user interactivity. Our fast-fill dispensers are designed to look, feel and function like contemporary gasoline dispensers for maximum customer acceptance, and can sit right along side gasoline dispensers at the fueling island. Each of our dispensers are made with the utmost of care by trained CNG professionals, using only top-quality parts to ensure that your dispenser will not only meet, but exceed industry standards.

Our dispensers are offered with a range of complementary priority and sequencing equipment designed around either economical single line "buffer" type filling schemes or efficient 3-bank cascade filling schemes, to provide complete and reliable dispensing systems.

Priority Panel

Hi-Tech Fuels manufactures industry standard gas management equipment, including priority panels, sequencing panels, temperature compensation panels, and any combination thereof. The KAF series of panels are available for single line (buffer-type) or 3-bank cascade filling schemes, designed to operate both stand-alone or in conjunction with Hi-Tech Fuels compressor controls systems.

Our superior line of gas management panels are also available in European configurations (IEC wiring methods, CENELEC approved components), and have optional ESD valves on outlet lines as per NFPA 52 code requirements. Major options are identified by suffixes added on to the basic model numbers.

Components & Electronics

Solenoid Valves

Kraus Global manufactures specialized flow control solenoid valves for high pressure gas applications. These unique valves feature a high flow rate, a high pressure rating, a compact design, and a low power requirement. They are especially suited for compressed gas dispensing operations where switching or emergency shutdown (ESD) control is required.

The KAF series solenoid valves operate on the principle of integral pilot action, where the differential pressure within and across the internal piston controls the opening and closing of the valve. In this way, a high flow rate and pressure differential can be sustained by a small activation current, without the use of external relays or lifting coils.

These valves are constructed of materials suitable for use with natural gas and hydrogen and have a burst pressure rating in excess of 25,000 psig (1,700 barg) to ensure the highest quality standards. Kraus Global valves are available in North American and European versions. The "N" series is approved by CSA for use with compressed natural gas (CNG) and is designed to the ASME code; it is fully NFPA 52 and CSA B108 compliant. The "E" series is approved by or compliant to TUV.

KAF 400 Solenoid Valve

The Kraus Global KAF 400 series single solenoid valve is a normally closed high pressure valve, specially designed for CNG applications. It is ideal for main flow control or emergency shutdown applications, anywhere in a CNG refueling station. It is CSA Approved, and CE, NFPA 52/CSA B108 compliant. Inlet and outlet ports are 9/16-18 SAE threads. Flow coefficient (Cv) 1.8.

KAF 402 Solenoid Valve

The Kraus Global KAF 402 series single-body valve is specifically designed for high-flow applications. It is ideal for use in high speed refueling applications such as bus filling and tube trailer filling. It is CSA Approved, and CE, NFPA 52/CSA B108 compliant. Inlet and outlet ports 3/4-16 SAE threads. Flow coefficient (Cv) 3.3.

KAF 410 Solenoid Valve

The Kraus Global KAF 410 series triple-solenoid valve is specifically designed for main flow control, 3-bank sequencing and ESD applications. This valve is available with internal check valves and either a single, dual or triple outlet manifold configuration. It is CSA Approved, and CE, NFPA 52/CSA B108 compliant. Inlet and outlet ports 9/16-18 SAE and 3/4-16 SAE threads. Flow coefficient (Cv) 1.8.

CNG Nozzle

Kraus Global offers a number of industry proven alternatives for CNG nozzles. NGV I, Type I, and NGV I, Type II nozzles are available from manufactures such as OPW, WEH, and Staubli. Nozzles are also available for high-flow bus or heavy duty applications. As fill probes are a common connection method in many markets, Kraus Global offers both 11mm probes designed to NZS-5425 and 12mm probes used typically in the Chinese market.

ATC

Because the volume of a fuel changes according to its temperature, dispensed quantities of liquid fuels such as gasoline and diesel are inherently innaccurate when changes in product temperature are not compensated for. Over the years, this inaccuracy can add up to significant losses for fuel retailers, especially in centers where the average ambient temperature is below 15 degrees Celsius. Surprisingly, this includes most major centers in Canada, the United States, Europe and Asia. Using ATC to compensate for fuel shrinkage can minimize the losses for liquid motor fuel retailers.

Kraus Global pioneered the development of electronic automatic temperature compensation (ATC). This system automatically corrects fuel delivery volumes for changes in product temperature to a standard temperature of 15 degrees Celsius (Canada) or 60 degrees Fahrenheit (United States). This unique Kraus Global technology is available either as a retrofit kit for existing field dispensers, to OEM dispenser manufacturers, or as an option in the Kraus Global Micon 500L register head.

Kraus has played a key role in the development of fuel compensation regulations in Canada, and is working closely with weights & measures authorities in the United States and Europe to introduce this technology. Besides being the major manufacturer of ATC technology in the world, Kraus Global is the leading supplier of ATC units to major dispenser manufacturers in the international marketplace.
